Several years ago, GOD put into the heart of local businessman Mickey Mitchell a vision for a piece of property and a facility that would be dedicated to the Lord and the work of His Kingdom. Mickey's love for young people, a passion for sports and the outdoors, and his commitment to Christ combine to form the vision of The Refuge. Through a series of timely events, the pristine property of The Refuge, located near the heart of Cool Springs and Franklin, Tennessee, became available for purchase. From the beginning, this property has been dedicated to the mission of leading young people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through the platform of sports. Refuge strives to provide a fun assortment of athletic opportunities: camps, teams, special events, and skill development programs. Refuge is a place where people get saved and saved people get discipled! More than anything else, The Refuge teaches kids that a life anchored in Jesus Christ is a life of passion, commitment, joy, and purpose.
